In her dream, Queen Maha-Maya saw an elephant holding a lotus flower in its trunk and circling around her thrice before entering her womb. Interpreting the dream, priests told King Shuddhodhana that it indicated the arrival of a son to him who would become a great monarch if he remained within the confines of home. If he mingles with the outside world, he will become a ?›ƒ?ª??Buddha?›ƒ?ªƒ?› – the remover of ignorance from the world.
