THE AXIOM
When disconnected from the universal truth that everything is interdependent and interconnected, we feel like we are each born to compete with others. We observe the vast differences in the fortunes of one man compared to another, and we perceive that each living creature?›ƒ?ªƒ?›s existence is a fight for its own survival, oftentimes at the expense of other living creatures. However, in reality, if we pull a thread here, we?›ƒ?ªƒ?›ll find it?›ƒ?ªƒ?›s attached to the rest of the world. All is interconnected, a part of the whole.
We can?›ƒ?ªƒ?›t deny that right now we have the most advanced methods of real time communication in existence, with the ability to stay connected to everyone and everything, wherever we are in the world?›ƒ?ªÿ?›ƒ?ªƒ??›ƒ?ªÿso why are so many of us feeling more disconnected from the world and others than ever? 95% of the human population is consciously or unconsciously responding to the social norms of how their peers behaved almost like primitive instinct and only 5% human beings are have been able to decipher this truth.
Art is not just a tool for self-expression, for me, it is a powerful vehicle for communicating this truth, revealing this reality and the limitless possibilities for building a better world. Each painting I create takes me as well the viewer closer to this axiom. It holds out the promise of inner wholeness.
At the first glance, my paintings seem to be pure abstraction; upon closer contemplation, the viewer sees forms of infinity, a sense of transcendence, subliminal use of symbols through dots, circles and patterns. Shapes configured in such a way that they appear both microscopic and galactic. These patterns connecting all my works, like a cadence that manifests itself in all aspects of life, divulging the universal truth.
When we release a thought it sets off several vibrations, which resonate in the entire universe. In a painting, metaphorically, a similar thing happens. I attempt to get the right color, the right space, and most important of all, the right luminosity. There?›ƒ?ªƒ?›s an interplay between the initially intentional, primary part and then an activity in the painting that sets it off vibrating, resonating.
This artistic process usually takes a lot of time, revisions, attempts, and failures, but eventually the painting starts vibrating and there is a relationship, and interconnectedness between the parts and the whole, color and line, light and space. The paintings are basically made of many?›ƒ?ªƒ?sometimes hundreds, sometimes just a few?›ƒ?ªƒ?layers of translucent color, glazes. My artworks encompass boundlessness of the universe, its unimaginable, massive expanse. All these dots merge together to create a whole picture containing the physical and mystical aspects of life.
