Art has different connotation with different people in different context. Over the century much has been written about the magical phenomenal of creative art by eminent scholar’s, philosopher’s, art historians, critics and artist’s. My purpose to present Ellora’s art in the context of modern art is to show the beauty of creation in natural sensibility and conscience form. In the Paleolithic period between 3000 and 1000 B.C the primitive man painted on the walls of the dark caves. In Ajanta and Ellora classical trends of painting and sculpture were flourishing folk trends. In medival age, the creative art of Ellora caves distorted. Due to this it was converted to modern look. I just tried to present what I feel about ‘Ellora caves’ on canvas. While doing paintings I found many spiritual things which were debating with me which do not belong to leaving things. I will carry on my Ellora study on canvas for future improvements. – Artist Vijay K Gavhankar
